On Monday, January 11, 2021, Her Excellency Chea Serey, Founder of Raksa Koma Foundation, and artist Adana Mam-Legros launched \u2018The Art of Sharing\u2019, a special collaborative exhibition hosted by Sosoro Museum, to raise fund for three local organizations focused on social and mental health issues. This is also the first time that a Cambodian art exhibition can be experienced digitally in an interactive 3D platform built on the internet by the design firm Future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn a challenging time such as this, it\u2019s very important we come together for a good cause and send messages of hope and cheerful giving. Our exhibition is available both at Sosoro Museum and on Facebook, so please do check us out and give your support!\u201d said H.E. Serey Chea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adana Mam-Legros is a celebrated French-Cambodian surrealist artist who believes art and activism go hand in hand. She found her main inspiration in her parents\u2019 activism and her personal battle with cancer, and from a young age has been passionate about humanitarian work. She is equally excited to bring this special exhibition to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn human history art has always played a major role for societal transformation and a massive platform for communication. Today, it is a message of solidarity and of sharing that must be heard. Facing this global pandemic there should be a renaissance of thoughts, of lifestyle and of Art. An Art with purpose.\u201d, said Adana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite coming from different background and having different painting styles, the two artists combine their arts in grand collaborative pieces that captivates the viewers with depth of meaning and colors. All proceeds that come from the sales and auction of all art pieces in the exhibition will go to support the activities and operation of three local organizations: TPO Cambodia, HelpAge & ICS-SP. Transcultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO) Cambodia is Cambodia\u2019s leading NGO in the field of mental health care and psychosocial support. HelpAge Cambodia, on the other hand, is a locally lead NGO working in supporting aging rights and empowering older people. Lastly, Improving Cambodia\u2019s Society through Skillful Parenting (ICS-SP) is an organization promoting Skillful Parenting to parents and caregivers for safer and more positive family environment and to prevent and reduce violence against women and children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Opening to the public on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, during opening hours, anyone can enjoy the exhibition for no fee at Sosoro Museum\u2019s Temporary Exhibition Hall.
